Configuration of build environment from the repo

Feature Request

Instead of having to use the settings screen, allow for a config file to be added to the repo, setting language versions, package managers etc. This would make any language updates in our projects much quicker to roll out.

    Hi Chris, great news, this already exists! You can add a .deploybuild.yaml file to the root of your repository to configure your build environment directly from code.

    It supports:

    • Language versions (Node, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.)

    • Build commands with descriptions and error handling

    • Cache files for faster builds

    The biggest benefit is exactly what you're after, different branches can have different configurations, so language updates can be tested on a feature branch before rolling out. No need to touch the settings screen.
